Thanks to so many businesses, groups and volunteers, the Lions club has just had their most successful food drive yet! Over 3300 items of food and 1100 dollars were collected this Past Friday. Volunteers at the Helping Hands Food Bank are going to be very busy and thrilled filling up the shelves for those in need over the summer.
Thanks to Giant Tiger, Freshco, and Tanner’s for their continued support. A special thanks to the staff at Giant Tiger for having a BBQ to raise even more funds. Members of the Lions Club, Helping Hands, and eager young volunteers from Minor Soccer handed out book marks listing food items needed at the Food Bank.
Once again, the town of Espanola has proven itself to be a caring and very generous community.
